Spring is wild garlic season. It grows in the woods right outside our door – so you can bring home something for fine cooking from every hike.
In some regions it is simply called "wild garlic" – which describes its flavour perfectly. It grows in shady, damp woods, often in large carpets, and its scent gives it away from far off.
The simplest way to enjoy it: good farmhouse butter and a little fresh wild garlic on bread. Nothing more is needed.
